Sam Bennetts from Middlesex, launched an online campaign to raise awareness of the serious, and sometimes insensitive issues surrounding babies born between 10-42 weeks. The campaign attracted a huge response and the group has over 31.000 members.
Sleeping Angels is currently trying to raise money to become a charity to help families affected by these issues. United together we hope to make a difference and change the laws that have such a devastating impact on so many lives.
Sleeping Angels aims to raise money for Family Bereavement Rooms to be located and available in all hospitals.
We aim to create a register that will eventually be acknowledged as a legal document for babies born sleeping 10-42 weeks.
To raise awareness of the law that says a baby is not viable unless over the gestation of 24 weeks.
Even a baby born alive is denied medical help
Finally to raise awareness of the sometimes insensitive and just inhumane way a mother is treated after experiencing the loss of her baby.
Sadly On 18th April 2012, Sam experienced another loss, Sadly she lost her little boy Kydd Jason James Bennetts at 16 weeks Gestation. Both of her babies died due to the Group B Strep Infection.
